13. Judges and Judging Process

Selection of Judges: Judges for the competitions are selected from a distinguished panel comprising members of Tao House, esteemed art residents, and former residents who have demonstrated exemplary expertise in their respective fields. The selection process is designed to ensure impartiality and maintain the highest standards of judgment.

Role of Judges: Judges are responsible for reviewing submissions based on established criteria and making selections in accordance with the rules of the competition. Their decisions are final and binding in all matters relating to award selections.

14. Book Awards Criteria

Criteria for Evaluation: Submissions to the book awards are evaluated based on a comprehensive set of criteria, which may include originality, creativity, artistic quality, and adherence to the theme of the competition. 15. Rights Granted by Users
By submitting any material to our competitions or residencies, you grant Tao House a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to showcase your submitted work in connection with Tao House for promotional purposes.

16. Fees and Refunds
Certain services, including entry into competitions, may require a fee. All fees could be refundable if a competition is canceled or your work has not been reviewed yet. Details of these fees and any applicable refund policies are available on our awards pages.

17. Code of Conduct
You agree not to engage in any activity that would disrupt the services or violate the rights of others, including but not limited to copyright infringement, harassment, and spreading malicious software.
